Description
This brooch was designed with the inspiration from the Ornithology Collection at the Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA. The piece measures 2-1/4″ wide by 1-3/4″ high. In addition to the original enameled bird art there is a 1/2″ garnet embellishment at the top of the piece. the metal is patinaed copper with a handcrafted stainless steel pin back. The bezel for the stone is sterling silver. Cardinals mate for life so they are loyal birds and are considered to convey creativity and intuition. Many believe, when they spot a cardinal it is a passed loved one visiting providing comfort. Each one is handmade made so the enamel as well as the setting may vary slightly.
